Steffen Freund sees tonight's friendly against Swindon Town as a difficult game. With so many Spurs and ex Spurs players there (6) I'm not surprised.
“For a start, Swindon will want to beat us, I’m sure the stadium will be sold-out and it will be a difficult game,” said Steffen, our Assistant Head Coach.
“They will fight hard against us and these are the games we need now.
“I remember we played Stevenage this time last season, we beat them 2-0 with a solid performance and that’s what we want again.
“I’m sure Andre will start to look to give players 60 minutes, perhaps more and that’s why it will be a tough week because we also play on Friday and then we fly out to Hong Kong.”
Of course the managers job is vacant there and both Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand have been linked with the post. No doubt officials at Swindon will have a quiet word and sound the pair out, if they haven't done so already, if Swindon are truly interested in them that is.
