Rumours are rife that former England manger and Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle has submitted an application for the vacant Swindon Town managers post.
The League One club parted company with Kevin MacDonald last week by mutual consent and the club have previously considered Hoddle for a Director of Football role.
Hoddle is known to want to get back into management and has been looking round for a suitable opportunity. Swindon may be that opportunity.
The bookies had Les Ferdinand and Tim Sherwood as front runners, Sherwood having close with the newly appointed Swindon Director Lee Power.
Hoddle is known to have had lengthy discussions wit Swindon before so it clearly is a club that appeals to him. If they can land him that would be great, not only for Swindon, but for the development of the Spurs youngsters there. With such strong ties with Spurs our youngsters would be in good hands.
However Swindon chairman Jed McCrory rebuffed the idea saying he was not being considered. This is football so you never know what is going to happen.
