Roman Pavlyuchenko has always been a popular man with Tottenham fans, he is a player with a touch of class. The languid style, good first touch and, let's admit it, occasional lack of focus and commitment, make him a Spurs man in every sense. This is why his supposed sulk and stand-off with the manager - himself a popular figure - has been excused. His schoolboy mope has been indulged. Few other vocally want-away players on the fringes of the team are supported to the same extent. Just ask Darren Bent.Pavlyuchenko might now have a future at the club,...

Are we going to win tonight, or what?
Posted on 10:29 AM by Unknown

Gazza, after Tottenham's 1991 F.A. Cup Final winIt looks as though Harry's got the lads practising their penalties, although I have a feeling the game won't be stretched that far. We've got to beat them, right? Well, not exactly. Believe it or not, Coyle has got them playing. We saw that for ourselves in the first tie. The question is, do we have the passion, the desire and above all, the bottle to win?You would think we do, after all, we are...

What's up with Harry?
Posted on 8:55 AM by Unknown

Is it just me, or did Harry not look too impressed yesterday? When we've scored goals in the past, Harry's looked a bit more animated, yet, when Pav scored his brace yesterday, he looked like a lost Hush Puppy.I've got a feeling that he didn't like the players surrounding Pav in the way they did either. After each goal, all the players celebrated with Roman in a way, that to me, looked as though all the comments he's be mumbling to the media recently,...
The Groin of Lennon
Posted on 7:09 AM by Unknown
Even though Lennon's felt discomfort in his groin after returning to light training, let's not get carried away. The little fella has gone for a scan after he felt it again. Having suffered a few groin issues myself, I am fairly confident that Azza could be back sooner, rather than later. I'm no doctor, but I know a media pot-shot when I see one. It's not always easy coming back from a muscle injury, especially one as sensitive as a groin tear, or pull. The fact that Lennon felt "discomfort", didn't surprise me at all. Hopefully this setback...

Cole to Spurs?
Posted on 4:03 AM by Unknown
I recently read that Harry's interested in bringing Carlton Cole to Spurs in the summer. He wouldn't be a bad signing, in fact, I'd take him over Peter Crouch at the moment. Both are similar players, although Cole is better at holding the ball up.Thing is, I've got a feeling that the media have got the wrong Cole. We all know how much Harry loves Joe Cole and you've no doubt read the stories doing the rounds in relation Cole's contract problems at Stamford Bridge? It's in situations like this that Harry comes into his own. If anyone can pull...

Let your skills do the talking
Posted on 11:55 AM by Unknown
"Sometimes I have a feeling that Redknapp jeers at me", "I told him that it cannot be this way any more, since I wouldn't help my team with sad thoughts in my mind", "I need to play football", "I think only about my move from Tottenham".Listen up sunshine, here's a bit of free advice; stop the chatter and let your skills do the talking.Does Roman have a point? Of course he does. Do I think Harry should give the lad a run in the side? Of course I do. Anyone who reads this blog knows what I think of our Russian's skills.Do I think Pav needs to...

The Crouch Conundrum
Posted on 8:01 AM by Unknown

When we first went in for Peter Crouch, I can honestly say that I did feel the pit of my stomach turn in on itself. After mulling over the deal, I thought I should at least give the player the benefit of the doubt. The decision to like the lad came along when a large portion of my family (a fair few of them are Liverpool fans, true Kopites), told me that Crouchie would be an asset; a player we could count on.Well, that was in August of 2009. We...

"Sack Redknapp!"
Posted on 3:07 AM by Unknown
Here we go again. Before I get into the crunch of this article, I would like to ask a question. Why is it that we Spurs fans, seem to turn on our manager the second something goes wrong?Anyway, that's something for you to mull over...In the meantime, somewhere in the City of London, a conversation broke out amongst my fellow Yidites. Being a Spurs fan, you too will know that we've always got something that we need to get off our chest. If it's not discussing how bad of an excuse Jenas is, it's either acknowledging, or putting aside the long-ball...

It just wasn't our day
Posted on 8:27 AM by Unknown
It's days like this that allow me to reminisce over the simple fact that I had a choice to make when I was 7; Support Tottenham Hotspur, and dwell in the joy that bubbled up on dad's face, because "at least one of his sons followed in his stead", or support Manchester United, and allow my older brothers to put one over on the old man.As you know, I took up option 1.I wrote out that last sentence with a weighted glumness, not because I envy every glouting trophy my brothers have thrashed before me over the years, whilst we have had to contend with...

A Must Win!
Posted on 6:09 AM by Unknown
If there ever was a "must-win" game, tonight's tie against Wolves, is it! This time round, there can be no faffing around, no "it just wasn't our day" and certainly a big no to 33 shots on goal, but no goals scored.Make no bones about it; we have to win. If we are to keep up the challenge of securing a top four finish, we need to win. To be honest, at the moment, I'd take any kind of win. I wouldn't care if the ball bounced off Bentley's bum and trickled in over the line in the 93rd minute, as long as it was the winner.Skipping aside our cup-tie...

Jonathan Woodgate
Posted on 11:54 AM by Unknown

Right then, let's get to the crunch of it. Can anyone tell me, or the rest of us, what the heck is up with Jon Woodgate? So far, we've been told that the recurring groin injury that has plagued the defender since his Real Madrid stint, is back, but this time, it could be here to stay.Last I read, our centre-half was in the States, in an attempt to get it sorted, but I've not read anything since. Some forums have said that he'll be back in light...

"Boring, Boring Villa"
Posted on 8:59 AM by Unknown
Those chants echoed around White Hart Lane during yesterday's draw with Villa and to be honest, I couldn't agree more.I won't go into the technical aspects of the game, but instead, will comment on Villa for a moment. Now, let's just say they manage to break the top four; do we really want to see a team like that playing in the Champions League? They were boring, one dimensional, long-ball merchants. I hate to have to agree with Wenger on things like this, but the man got it spot on. What a terrible display! Yes, I've heard it all before; "but...

When was the last time this happened?
Posted on 1:02 PM by Unknown
There's no doubting it; Jermain Defoe is on fire at the moment. His 3rd hat-trick this season against Leeds proves that. So, my question is; which Lilywhite-wearing striker managed to notch up 3 hat-tricks in one season? In other news, Ledley has been talking up the re-signing of Kaboul. To be honest with you, I agree with him. Kaboul will definitely be a better player upon his return, than when he was first with us.Only thing is, Harry kept on about the headache he encountered when having to select two strikers from Defoe, Crouchie, Keano and...
