Since publishing the "No to Bellamy" article, I got a few emails from Joe Public telling me that he's exactly the type of player we need.Fair enough, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. It also looks like Harry's using his media connections to see if Bellamy's side take the bait. If they do and we read "I've always admired Harry Redknapp" type statements, expect him to wear Lilywhite. Thing is, we would need to sell. Pav's on his way out and may be followed by a couple more, but would you sell Robbie Keane in a bid to bring in Craig Bellamy?Harry's...

No to striker
Posted on 10:26 AM by Unknown
All this talk of us signing Bellamy has really got me banging my head against the wall. Do I think he's a quality striker? Yes. Can he fit into our team? Absolutely not!First off, if Harry does end up signing him, can someone tell me where he's supposed to play? With Modric on the way back and Crouch & Defoe reforming their partnership, why risk it all on a player that has a dodgy knee and a temperamental personality?I do think he's quality. You've got to be an idiot to say otherwise. He's proved for City this season that maybe we should...

Christmas points please, not Christmas party
Posted on 11:08 AM by Unknown
Tottenham meet Fulham on Boxing Day for the third consecutive season, but on this occasion we travel to Craven Cottage. As Premier League tests go it is a stern one, with the Cottagers riding high after thrashing Manchester United. We have won only one of our eight league trips to Fulham since they returned to the top flight in 2001/02, drawing three times and losing on four occasions. This record, combined with Spurs' traditional mid-winter vulnerability on our travels, will make Boxing Day lunch a nervous affair. However, the team's battling win...

Bobby & Benitez
Posted on 10:30 AM by Unknown
I suppose it's all good news for Spurs in relation to the media leaving us alone as regards "Spurs to make the top four", especially with the Liverpool boss making the near impossible comment of "we will make the top four", although to be fair, he didn't mention which season he was implying that they accomplish this, did he?Today, our other new media mate, Bobby Mancini, stated the following; "My target is to arrive in the top four. That is my target, I think it is possible." Again, no mention of which season this target is to be achieved, but...

Hughes and City was always going to end in tears
Posted on 9:29 AM by Unknown
It is hard enough for those managers chosen by billionaire owners – think Jose Mourinho and Luis Felipe Scolari – so the job faced by those already in place when Mr. Moneybags arrives is all but impossible.Mark Hughes was clearly poorly treated by Sheikh Mansour, but the sack cannot have come as too much of a shock, as I predicted in my article, Would you want a Manchester City style owner? - Published on Friday, 17th July 2009. He might publicly say that he was tasked with securing a top six finish, but he must have privately known that boardroom...

Reports in Italy Confirm that Mancini will Replace Hughes
Posted on 9:43 AM by Unknown
Not that it's my forte to be listening to talkSPORT, but Stan Collymore (the man with more questions than answers) has just announced that reports in Italy have confirmed that former Inter boss and Leicester City player, Roberto Mancini, IS the new Manchester City manager.I personally think this equals a tragic formula;Rich Owners + Knowing Nothing About Football = Making All The Wrong DecisionsWhy give a manager over £200 million if you're even thinking about sacking him if things don't go down as you planned them? What if Mancini is given a war-chest...

Away Banker?
Posted on 12:18 PM by Unknown
After our great win on Wednesday, it would be great if we could cap off the week with a win over Blackburn at Ewood Park. Thing is, I can't see us beating them. It's not that they're in great form, but Ewood Park is a bit of a dodgy ground for us. Rumours are that Modders & Kranny could start the game, just like they do for Croatia. Would be an interesting line up if that were the case. Either way, Carlos will be at the match, tweeting away. Prediction: Blackburn 2-2 SpursCOYS...

World Cup Draw
Posted on 10:09 AM by Unknown
I've just had the non-pleasure of watching the World Cup Draw fiasco. Did the organisers hire the EuroVision management team to put this together? If it wasn't Charlize Theron looking like a witless twit, it was some other joker speaking out of tune without his mic on.Anyway, England will be in the same group as the USA, Algeria and Slovenia. Nice and easy then...Here are the groups.Group ASouth AfricaMexicoUruguayFranceGroup BArgentinaNigeriaRepublic of KoreaGreeceGroup CEnglandUSAAlgeriaSloveniaGroup DGermanyAustraliaGhanaSerbiaGroup EHollandJapanCameroonDenmarkGroup...
